What counts as a lead
One person who reaches you in a calendar month through a connected number or form. If the same person calls Tuesday and fills in your form on Thursday, that is one lead, not two. Replies back and forth in the same conversation are not extra leads.
We count the person, not the message, because that is also how the system decides how often it is allowed to contact somebody.
If you go over your plan
Extra leads are $1 each. Nothing stops mid-month and no lead goes unanswered: cutting your phone off in August is the thing this product exists to prevent, and we are not doing it to you to save ourselves a few dollars.
Past about 300 leads a month, Pro costs less than Starter plus overage, and we will say so rather than let the extra charges run.
What your team still owns
Half Hitch responds, gathers context and gets the thread in front of a person. It does not quote prices, promise arrival times or confirm appointments. Your team confirms diagnosis, pricing and scheduling, and anyone can take over a conversation at any point.
It will tell people it is AI. If someone asks whether they are texting a person, the assistant says plainly that it is not. We would rather be straight about it than get caught being clever.
Is it worth it for your shop
That is arithmetic you can do yourself, and you know your numbers better than we do. Put your average ticket into the calculator on the home page and look at how many calls a month you miss. If a recovered job is worth several hundred dollars, Starter pays for itself when it saves one.
If it does not clear that bar for your business, do not buy it.
